I’ve noticed for some time now that bartering is becoming an everyday sort of way of life. One hand washes the other, right? At the beginning you think, “Hey I could be making a couple hundred dollars doing this website why would I want to do it for free?”  Well think of it like this, for instance, a friend of mine has his own tile business, a website really isn’t on the top of his list, but he does want one.  I need a new back-splash in my kitchen, between materials and labor it cost me just about the same as it would to design a website.

Instead of going through the hassle of budgeting for a kitchen I am in need of, or stressing out learning how to do it myself, I’ll be designing his site and he’ll be designing my kitchen! When you start to think about the things that you need and what you could offer to those who can return that “favor” it works out perfectly, cause in the end you would be spending that hard earned money anyway.

A few years ago my husband and I started a small tshirt business called bebeink (baby tattoos), basically we designed tattoo inspired tees for our little one because she loved our tattoos so much, now I know everyone has seen and done this but to tell you the truth we were one of the first and unfortunately we just didn’t market ourselves correctly.

Any who, we’re back and we’ll be launching new designs with something special shortly.  Our creative minds hit a spark and we’re eager to begin.  So stay tuned I hope you enjoy!

This weather is killing me! I took the week off from work to spend it with my girls and I really hope we get in a few days of sunshine. I remember growing up and looking forward to the week I had off, being able to sleep late, lounge around for the morning and the spend the rest of the day outdoors playing. Right now:: I’m cold, sleepy and want to crawl into bed.  What I have to do:: Get ready for my training session at the gym, come home and get to chucky cheeses. I’ve been avoiding Chucky Cheeses for the last 4 years – I despise this place I know I know its not for me, but I really DON’T Like it! But what’s a few hours to see a smile like this.

The Princess waited…and waited…. and waited for the day she would soon have someone to rescue her.

Its been quite busy over here.  I’ve had a lot of running around to do, projects with the kids, freelance and preparing for my week away from work.  All I can keep thinking about are the things I want to do this week and how little time I have to do them.  Hopefully I’ll be getting some signed contracts back for freelance work so I can begin those projects.

I’m very excited and pleased to say that I’ve gotten another art gig.  I started teaching an art class to my daughters preschool once a week, the kids love it and they love me We have so much fun.  The director is opening another school and asked if I could also work at the other school in the afternoon.  Well of course!  I have to see this year is becoming one of the best years, everything I have hoped for is coming true!

Exhaustion is finally settling in.  I have tons of freelance, even for my 7 year old daughter who wants to start a blog of her own reviewing books!  I think this is first on my priority list right now.  Can’t wait to get it started for her!

My hubby and I just launched a new website, its called findpunkshows.com

Basically the basis behind the site is to inform all punk, punk rock fans of upcoming shows, new bands,videos, music and news.  I wanted to come up with something that he could do on the side and would enjoy so I thought this could be perfect and hopefully a new beginning to a new business!

Its beginning to look alot like Christmas!  I love snow!!!  We got 14 inches here in Long Island and my girls are loving it!  I remember growing up and being in the snow for hours and not even feeling the cold.  These days my toes get numb within minutes!
